Surah Jalil, Human Security
Surah Jalil is a second-year PhD student in Political Science at the University of Toronto, studying International Relations and Comparative Politics. Her research interests focus on global power politics, including transformations in the international order and the rise of China in global governance and security affairs. In addition to her doctoral studies, she serves as the Program Coordinator of the Afghan Women Fellowship Program at Massey College, where she supports academic mentorship and research development. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of Afghans for Progressive Thinking, contributing to organizational governance and community-based policy initiatives.
